Abstract topics

For the 36th International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors (ISCS-2009), papers are solicited on a wide variety of topics including, but not limited to :

Growth, Si-Ge based compound semiconductors, III-V digital electronics including MOSFETs, Photonic devices and integration, THz and Infrared devices, Microwave and millimeter wave devices, Wide Band Gap semiconductors, Photovoltaics, Compound semiconductor sensors, Spintronics, Carbon related materials, Nanostructures, ZnOx and other oxides

Abstract format guidelines

The abstracts for ISCS-2009 should consist of one page of text and one page of figures. Please use ISO A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) size paper, making sure that there is a margin of 2.5 cm on top/bottom/left/right sides. You can also use the North American standard ANSI-A (8.5 x 11 inch) paper and leave a 1 inch margin on top/bottom/left/right sides.

The first page should be used for the text and it should include the abstract title, author list, affiliations, abstract text, references and the contact information of the corresponding author.

The abstract title should be in bold Times New Roman font with a size of 12pt. The abstract text should be in Times New Roman font with a size not less than 10pt. References to prior work, if any, should be given as a footnote of the text page. The contact information for the corresponding author should be included in the footnote of the text page.

The second page should be used for figures. Figures should be clearly labeled and captioned so that they can be understood independent of the text page.

Abstracts will be accepted in PDF format. Here is an example abstract to download as word-file and pdf-file . If you are using Microsoft word or any other format, please convert the file to PDF format before submitting.

Please email the abstract in the indicated format as an attachment (file in PDF format) to: iscs2009submit@ece.ucsb.edu
In the email please mention the first name, last name and the contact email-id of the corresponding author.
